The Action Plan
After discussing how horrible the death penalty is, it is also important to realize what we can do as the population to change the death penalty worldwide. The first step of the plan of action is funding and awareness. Fliers can be distributed to and donations can be requested to help worldwide fix the atrocity. Charity and awareness drives will happen periodically to keep up awareness and funding as progress is mad over time. 15% of the money will go to administrative fees, 5% on drives of awareness and charity with 20% going to travel costs to visit different countries, 50% educating various countries on what they can do about the death penalty, and the last 10% of the budget is planned on going to advertise on television the atrocities of the death penalty. The action plan itself is to go to visit various countries that abstained to vote to stop the death penalty. Countries that are for stopping the death penalty and voted for can be recruited to help in charity and awareness drives. The travelling to the abstained countries to raise public awareness of the death penalty will help us convince the masses to convince their governments to stop the death penalties. When this is successful, the organization can move on to the countries that voted against the death penalty being stopped, and repeat the same process. Certain countries such as the U.S. have coalitions to stop this already, so we can join together with them and be stronger in our convincing to the masses and the governments. 106 are in favor of halting the death penalty, whilst 34 abstained and 46 were against, so we could make serious progress here.
Before anyone is willing to give money or before they should give money, it is important to realize if the money is being used effectively or not. To analyze if the money was used effectively, we will see if awareness was raised. This will hopefully be recognized in various countries with the abstain vote which we discussed before. The next step is to watch the votes for the next vote to attempt to stop the death penalty. If our death penalty awareness plan and teamwork with other coalitions proved to work, more countries will be for stopping the death penalty, with less going against. Our plan still worked effectively if there are less against votes and these are turned into abstain votes. We believe abstained votes may go up, but also the for votes will go up. Slowly over time with funding, awareness, and campaigns, more and more countries will abstain and be for, followed by all countries being for abolition of the death penalty. More money will be saved this way, racism will be indirectly stopped, and all of us will have contributed to stopping a cruel and inhumane punishment and make our society more sophisticated and less barbaric. Only when all countries recognize this, will we be able to progress, hopefully sooner than later. As shown before, the money is going to be used very effectively to stop a worldwide issue that hopefully will be supported by you.
